چکیده

The aim of the present study was to determine content naphthoquinones (juglone and hydrojuglone glycosides) in different tissues walnut plants (Juglans regia L.) through growing season, for French cultivar 'Franquette' Slovenian 'Rubina'. Husk, leaves, bark, catkin pistillates were studied. Naphthoquinones contents catkins (male flowers) (female J. regia, have best our knowledge not been defined any metabolic studies date. identified quantified by HPLC/MS. all individual total phenolics consistent with those which suggests that phenolic compounds are redistributed from bark after flowering prevent loss these valuable plant compounds. lowest husks both cultivars, while highest observed leaves. glucoside pistillate followed rhamnoside pentoside juglone husk catkin. Quantification during growth periods provides data on when extraction might be useful further isolation or pharmaceutical studies.

Metabolomics reveals significant variations in metabolites and correlations regarding the maturation of walnuts (Juglans regia L.)

The content of walnut metabolites is related to its nutritive value and physiological characteristics, however, comprehensive information concerning the metabolome of walnut kernels is limited. In this study we analyzed the metabolites of walnut kernels at five developmental stages from filling to ripening using GC-MS-based untargeted metabolomics; of a total 252 peaks identified, 85 metabolite...

The identification of the 'apparent vitamin C' of the walnut (Juglans regia) with hydrojuglone glucoside.

use in the oxidation-reductions systems associated with increased cell metabolism. Owing to this growth, the concentration levels fall sufficiently to allow translocation of this substance from other parts of the plant to these rapidly growing centres, so that the amount actually present increases. This increase obliterates the losses that should be detected were the glucoside utilized in the f...

Lipid analysis of Greek walnut oil (Juglans regia L.).

The walnut oil (Juglans regia L.) total lipids (TL) were extracted by the Bligh-Dyer method and the lipid classes have been isolated by chromatographic techniques and they were analyzed by high performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC)/FID and GC-MS. The oil was found to be rich in neutral lipids (96.9% of total lipids) and low in polar lipids (3.1% of total lipids). The neutral lipid fract...
